I don't know how many people have left since the acquisition was announced, but I don't think the number is small.

Watch the leaders leaving. IC departure (as much as it is..) is not significant. It’s the long term + leadership level.
I haven't noticed to many. The people who have left have been higher profile people though. I wonder if places like CS will see more losses especially being "free" for customers.
2 people I know outsourced their own job responsibilities and are enjoying early retirement with a full salary.
It's not really the total number, up or down, it's the knowledge leaving the company that is the problem.
You can hire 100 more low cost employees that have zero experience with process, software, relationships, etc. It will still take a year for most to be truly useful in comparison to someone who's been at vmware for many years.
0 / zero. Not saw any exodus yet in my area. Infact we have increased the team by 4.

I've been monitoring employee counts using graph in slack since 5/31. On that day there were 39,550 employees. Today is shows 40,201. So we have grown 651 employee since then.
However, that does not give us the fill number. I've been with the company almost 4 years, longer than 60% of the current employee count. Doing the math, we have lost 477 employees that were here longer than me and gained 1,128 new employees. We may have gained more than that as I cant see how many people that had been here less time than myself that may have left the company.
Overall, does not look like the acquisition news it putting people off joining.
Still in the 40k for current employees so either we are hiring or not as many people are leaving to make a big dent
4 (that I know of) in Finance- Revenue team.
VP of team not being replaced as she's double-jobbing as CAO too.
3 in Carbon Black
Another 5 in CDTO and OCTO. Most are leaders not being backfilled so far.
