My boss told me there are going to be 12% spending cuts y-o-y for the next few years. Is this for real??? We just had record profits, and laid off 20% of employees two years ago!!! I’m doing the work that three people used to do. How does this make sense? I am sick of the leadership at this place.

30% budget cuts next year
I have heard a lot of different rumors about cost cutting - 12%, 20%, even as much as 50. As far as I know it’s all RUMORS. St James really need to get ahead of the rumors quickly - especially since we are in the middle of Pulse surveys. Results will be horrible.
This is true but it’s all about cutting contractors. IT contractors in particular. Staff and people doing actual work will be fine so try not to worry.
