Why am I sick of this company? - Because I realized that they prey on financially vulnerable people and treat them terribly. I wouldn't be here for a minute longer if I found another place where I can earn enough to pay the bills.
Sorry for venting, but this place is miserable and it makes people feel miserable too.

Recently promoted ASM 8 mos ago in our store now makes a point to rub his higher pay scale in CSAs faces. He's a thorough s-c-u-m-b-a-g who doesnt deserve it. COUNTLESS reports to HR on him but SMs protect him. Lowes corporate doesnt care what goes on in the stores. Just leave, its garbage.
How on earth does Lowe’s “prey” on anybody? Did they put a g-n to your head and make you go to work for them? I realize that the company could vastly improve some things, but this statement is just sheer ignorance.

My former coworker was saving 15% of his paycheck, his wife has a job outside Lowe’s that doesn’t have ESOP or 401k. So he put money into them ar Lowe’s to build for retirement. Back in the day the HR lady called him into the office and told him he was saving too much. Why is that any of her business?
The prior HR lady called me in and had a similar conversation. I asked if she was a financial planner and her license number, then I asked if she had a series 6, 63 or 7 license. Her eyes glazed. I said If you wish to discuss my financial situation you’d best be properly licensed. It irritated me so much I quit a couple weeks later. To my surprise was transferred to another store on my final week.
I was thinking of the way Lowe's makes their credit programs look so enticing that gullible folks fall for it. Same for those EPP's they push on almost everything today.

Just wait until you realize that Lowes is paying those who they just hired more than the people who have been there a year or better. I'm a DS and been with the company 10 years, 4 as a DS. They hired someone from Walmart, who just turned 21, to be a DS, and is making $0.75 more per hour. When I found out and asked for a raise, I was told I just got my annual raise and they couldn't do anything more...
