CCO org departures

Okay, give to to me straight. Two departures within mere weeks of each other. Both leaving for “personal reasons”? What’s up?

Think it might have anything to do with the buyout rumors floating around?

Reality is kicking in for Giant Eagle. Business has dropped off drastically since the pandemic. It’s no secret Giant Eagle charges more then any other store so customers are shopping elsewhere. With a decrease in revenue executives were told to jump ship or get thrown overboard.

Pandemic is over. Sales have dropped. Inflation is taking a toll on the grocery business. Giant Eagle’s prices are much higher then other food retailers. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. The executives see the writing on the wall. Most likely Giant Eagle will get out of the grocery business by selling off the grocery stores and keeping the fuel side.
