I now look at promotion as a very temporary happiness and a small distraction. It feels like they're losing control because a lot of people are leaving. I'm really interested in how much time they managed to gain with all these promotions. How long will that keep people here? It is not at all unusual when someone leaves immediately after receiving a promotion.

For people they promoted, they got an increased chance of them staying by about 30%. For people they didn't promote, they got an increased chance of them leaving by 70%. All in all, lots and lots are preparing to leave.
