Good Lord, that's Intel speak. People complain because Intel leadership is nonexistent and has no plan of execution. Where is the opportunity there? PG is wasting Intel money and soon government funds (i.e. our tax dollars). In what area do you see a bright future for Intel? Chips that lag behind and cannot be delivered on time? Foundries that have failed before coming online just in time for the glut of chips on the market? What bright future?

Backup plan: convince apple to go back to x86. Sell them on how chips can heat homes in Europe during the energy crisis.

So INTC is investing billions of their own money, plus government handouts of course... With the plan that their new foundries will enable them to compete with TSMC and Samsung... Who are currently substantially ahead process wise...

While TSMC for instance is experiencing record orders and profit... to further invest in R&D and infrastructure.... And perhaps most importantly, pay their engineers far less (for more hours), than US based INTC engineers.

Not to mention the potential glut of capacity their might be in 3-5 years driving down wafer pricing.

The writing on the wall does not look great.
