5+% of all empolyees Laid Off at GE Digital software

On Wed July 27th 2022 thousands of GED employees were told their jobs were being eliminated. Spread across sales, product, IT, Comms, probably more I haven't heard about yet. If I recall, GE execs told employees and investors that GED SW was the 'growth engine' and 'profit central' of the company. I guess they've moved on to a different shiny object.

I suppose they've got to get their numbers in line to make millions on the upcoming split.

As for the source it was 1) dozens of my everyday work contacts telling me directly their positions had been eliminated 2) for the 5+% number my source is the July 28th Scott Reese GED all-hands call (live access only, no recording available)

When the stock price dips or needs a little push, the Pied Piper of Boston plays a tune to lure investors.
