Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Sanjay's new landing spot

Looks like Sanjay found a nice landing zone after a yr in the wilderness. Pre-IPO company previously valued at $2.5B.

Great COO, probably got lucky being passed over. As Dell knew exactly what he was doing picking a doormat as CEO.

Sanjay dodged a bullet not getting the CEO job of VMware, it worked out better. Maybe Dell knew that he wouldn't be a pushover. VMware went downhill the last 12 months.

Yes, I also thought he was a good leader, and a nice person. EUC definitely turned around when he was at VMware. The backup space is very boring though. Maybe he'll bring some life to disrupt the dinosaurs like Veritas, Data Domain & Comvault.

Why the hate? I rated him as a leader when he was at vmw and he seems like a genuinely nice man.

So genuine question, why do you dislike him?

Let Cohesity get ruined by that B-league player.

Expect that company to have 90%+ Indian employees within half a year.

That's certainly no loss for Dell and VMware. Let Cohesity get ruined by that B-league player. This is a sign that their best growth and selling days are behind them, and now their execs and Board of Directors just want to get through the IPO to a liquidity event and cash out. Execs like Sanjay are lagging indicators, just like Ragoo and Dimwit.
