No one I talked to has any idea which org could be affected, but I don't think it's worth staying in limbo and waiting to be laid off. Isn't that just a waste of time?
I've had enough of uncertainty and bosses who don't know how to manage any other way than through fear. Hiring freezes are definitely an obstacle to finding another opportunity, but there are still many options, so there is no need to suffer here.
