Anyone know when Fritz will retire?

Trying to decide if I want to quit or wait for a regime change.

@2thj great points. I was born and to this day am working class. By the grace of God I have enough observation to start wondering “why is this, why is that”. Posts like yours are what make me read this site.

The next ceo will probably be worse Lance has all yes man put in place and they think they can do better than lance does so he will make more cuts. It’s a race to the bottom. All the leadership that knows how to railroad has been ram off and fired

@zzx Do you even know what the purpose of a board of directors is for? Fritz is what most would call an inside director. He's also the chairman for the board. If he takes orders from the board of directors that he's in direct control of(see the contradiction?), then what's the purpose for the CEO position? You really should read up what the board of directors can and can't do, then get back to us. Here's a question for you to think about. If the board of directors call the shots, then WHY weren't they involved with the hearings? Think about it!

Since Beth would succeed Lance, what difference would it make?

Seems like the STB and CONGRESS are getting with it. Why should people have to quit? Should customers have to move freight by truck because rail can’t get it together due to shareholders demanding record profits every quarter? Railroads have been operating unchecked for quite some time, it seems their recent actions are raising a lot of eyebrows.

Doesnt Fritz also sit on the board of directors? If so didnt that used to be illegal? (cant serve 2 masters kinda thing) If I remember right it was illegal bcuz executives were supposed to do what was in the companies best interests and not sacrifice the future of the company in exchange for the pursuit of short term pump and dump gains that harm a company in the long run.

Why would the CEO retiring decide for you if you retire or not? A different CEO isn’t going to mean that suddenly the company is going to change in a way you want it to be. The CEO takes his orders from the board and the investors, so unless all of those individuals leave it will be more of the same regardless of who the CEO is. My advice is if you like your job and have good seniority then stay. If you don’t, then leave while the job market is still good. Quit worrying about the CEO as there is nothing you can do about whether he stays or goes.

Good to know your options, get a estimate of RRB $ if you can retire . The future should be interesting as the STB does close supervision of the rr . Also , so many businesses are either mad at rr or suing them for such poor service.

You actually think the next CEO will be for the workers??? Dude the old railroad days are OVER. Been steadily declining, gets worse every year. If you have decent seniority why quit? Unless you got a better job offer.

Why would he retire? He gets to sit around and do nothing while getting paid millions. He hid from the STB hearings like a coward. Brought in Vena to hack everything in sight so he didn't have to be responsible. Now he blaming all the problems he creates on the customers and employees. Have ya read the letter the AAR has sent out to customers begging them to lobby for the railroad. The railroads screwed the customers and now wants the customers to go to bat for them. Regardless, Fritz is the perfect example of failing upwards.
