You will have to forgive my ignorance, but I would really like to know the answer to this question. When the acquisition goes through, there is more logic that Broadcom severance packages will be applied. Is that really the case?
BTW, are Broadcom’s severance packages better that the ones provided by VMW?

VMWare severance for 1 year after close. Year 1 forward, Broadcom severance. Also, worth noting, Broadcom policy for exiting people will never be more generous than the acquired company. Never.

It will be BC severance and reading latest rounds of layoffs in US they paid 9 weeks, but may vary from country to country
