Things were bad before the whole ISM thing. Most of the good employees had already left and we were so short-handed that it could be considered a crime. The people they tried to replace them with are horrible. They have zero experience and as much desire to do any work. All of that was bad enough, but to add ISM on top of it all? That's a big 'no, thank you' from me. I stayed for a lot of things, but this is the thing that has pushed me to start looking for something new. I'm truly done.

To follow up with the last poster, in my store, only jewelry, cosmetics, and furniture have full time positions.
It just a matter of time ⏳ that commission colleagues from jewelry, fragrances, and cosmetics departments get rid of commission too. They are also getting paid $15/hour plus commission. The old timers are getting pay more. This company is always full of surprises, so commission colleagues needs to keep this in mind.
You hit the nail on the coffin.. they are trying to flush out old timers and all full time so they can hire part time with no benefits.. M doesnt care if things get done in the store or if the dressing room is neat thats only for the walk thru clowns to make it look like the store is good.. ISM is to drive out anyone left with any skills , talents or work ethic
In my store, when several full timers quit, their positions weren’t filled again or they are now part time positions. It seems like the only positions that will be full time as others quit, get fired, retire, etc., will be management or a few in jewelry, cosmetics, and furniture.
The new employees and the old timers are getting paid the same $15/hour but the old timers are doing all the work because they are full timers with vacations and benefits. Eventually sooner or later the company wants all colleagues to be part timers.
That is the point. They wanna get rid of the old timers for all the new lazy people getting paid less and getting less benefits. They don’t care that most of these new employees are revolving anyways and don’t end up staying long term. In the long run, that helps them save money from giving out raises and PTO. That’s all they care about. They do not care about the employees.
