In light of all the talk about how many people will Broadcom cut when they take over I can agree with the people stating that they’re going to be deep and that all of us are in danger of being cut.
However, what I would like to know is what method they are going to use for cuts. Will they do the cuts in a shorter or longer period of time. Will they do classical layoffs and offer severance or will they offer an option for employees to re badge to some third party company that could take on some of the operations?

Probably 50% or so cut day 1. Over time more will be let go. The VMW professional services group will be sold to someone like HCL. Could possibly sell portions of the product portfolio and some folks would end up going with the sell.
