Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Does Accenture invest in employees' professional development?

I've started here about four months ago and I'm wondering if I'll get a chance to improve my skills and keep them updated. My former employer refused to provide any training or professional development and then cut people because their skills were outdated. It didn't happen to me but I didn't want to risk it. How's the situation here?

ACN is pretty good at training at all levels. I've been a consultant with three large consultancy outfits and one pure play outsourcer, so I've seen quite a bit training options. ACN and Deloitte (very similar) are top notch.

if you are on the consulting side we will invest quite a bit in your training...

here is a good video posted by a guy who went through training a few months ago

Not a chance. You'll need to give triple proof that the training is gonna target a profitable future project and some other bureaucratic rule. I just wonder if it's not better to suck ba--s and keep it off the books..
