I got an offer but I worry about all the layoffs happening in tech right now.

Based on what Sundar just said there will be a hiring slowdown so I am not even sure you'll be able to join.
If you are an SRE or SWE, you are layoff proof, especially if you land in a big site. Just don't get PIPed and don't get yourself fired for being a jerk on Memegen.
Google is probably the safest. Everyone watch youtube.
Probably the safest spot for now. Depending on what you do, of course.
I would be leaving a decent but not so safe job at a startup.
