Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Installs

PSE/IHC targets are $1.2 million and they can't get installers (or maybe aren't trying to hard) for rural markets.

Labor costs are 2-3 times higher in rural areas than urban ones.

Lowe's has made it painful to sell installs in rural areas.

My guess is they cut install in all rural markets in order to decrease bottom line. Look at Depot's install program and that's where it's heading.

My 1st store was in a rural market. We had no trouble with installs.
Then again that was pre-PSE/PSI with an installs office in the store, and using locally owned/operated installation companies.
