Manager was surprised that I was leaving

I had to keep myself from laughing at my manager's reaction when I informed him that I was leaving. How did your manager react when you submitted your resignation? In my case, suddenly, I wasn't the same person towards whom he expressed animosity and criticized for months without any reason. Suddenly I'm a "good employee who should stay" LOL. I can't wait for my last day here.

@OP: If what you said is true, are you sure your manager was not pleasantly surprised you’re leaving? For one thing, the manager did not give you a counter offer.

My manager gave a counter offer, which was about half the RSU difference I'm about to get at Google. So we decided to part amicably. Overall he was very professional

Mine did not care one bit, I guess the feeling was mutual.

Even you have given (say) 2 weeks notice you may be asked to leave early. So be sure to pack up and prepare to leave at anytime.
