When Zuckerberg openly admits that the company is experiencing "one of the worst downturns in recent history," then you know things are about to turn bad. The reduction in planned hirings of engineers is only the start. Any areas that are not directly related to the few select products that the company will be focusing on are all but guaranteed to see major cuts. It might not happen right away, but I believe it will happen in the next 12 months. We are entering uncharted waters here, folks. Be prepared for anything.

Don't quit on your own. Let them lay you off, then you will get a package. Zuck-a-buck does not want to pay a severance package to anyone. His net worth has been cut in half due to stock nosediving. Stay put till the end. Maybe show up at the office from time to time so they don't brand you a slacker.

Wow, he is openly saying the plan to push everyone ragged miserable and then wants them to “self select” themselves out so he can get out of severance. Sounds like a company and leader folks should go the extra mile for sarc.
