Thread regarding General Atomics layoffs

As a former GA MPEX employee

There has been a mass exodus from GA, especially at MPEX. Multiple complaints that never reach anyone since management throws people under the bus or pretend it wasn’t that big of a deal. No responsibility what-so-ever.

If you’re a woman, don’t work here. Just take my word for it because it’s just a repeat of what others say. Reports go unnoticed, swept under the rug, or conveniently explained away. Do you other ladies agree? Hopefully it’s better for others.

Also, if you have a manager or mentor that says not to put anything in writing or don’t put anything in writing, just run. Period. They are going to do something they shouldn’t.

This is true about women at GA. I saw a female leave GA 3 different times just to get fired at her previous employer and be welcomed back at GA with open arms. She is nothing special and actually lags when it comes to keeping up with leading edge technology but GA keeps welcoming her back. GA, a place where everyone’s else’s trash 🗑 is hired back as management material

I would say being a woman at GA is a major plus. Many women are unqualified and promoted simply for being female. So this post is very misleading. Men need military experience just to get an interview at GA … while woman can have a degree in Liberal Arts and be the head engineer on a project - how this can happen idk only at GA!
