Thread regarding Optum layoffs

They successfully avoid paying severance

I don’t know anyone who would say that his or her job has become easier, or at least that it hasn’t become much harder in the last few months. I was surprised when I read someone’s speculation that layoffs will follow, because it made little sense to me, since many are still leaving.........
How did they get you to reach the breaking point and make you leave without severance?

I’ve been at Optum RX for 11 months. I’m looking else where. It’s so toxic and incompetent management makes it worse.

When they layoff, they tend to layoff people that have been there less than two years so there is no severance. I see lay-offs coming in EAP/BH very soon. They want automation. We will also see leadership at the top be let go too:

The US empire does not care abt the citizens that’s why there are no laws to protect any severance, job rights etc etc like almost every other real country. Cesspool of corruption and fraud

I am still here but looking. Most see the writing on the wall; two fail or customer canceled contracts, Montana placed us on a CAP. Only a matter of time my friends before SGS is shut down.

After all, there is no legal requirement for severance in a layoff.
None at all.

Life is short, like many other have said, their lives are much better since leaving Optum. I have seen people fight battle after battle within Optum for years and it makes me wonder what the long term health/stress impact will be.
