The managers throughout the organization have no ethics or morals. They lack the education and knowledge to actually perform the job. Working here is like going back to high school! DO NOT apply here!!! Toxic, hateful and definitely not career growth.

The last round of layoffs, they called two people on my team who were on PTO to tell them they were laid off.
They called them while they were on vacation. Talk about an ultimate fu-k you, eh?
UHG aspires to be a toxic workplace. That's the only thing that they are good at.
This is what happens when you have a bunch of godda-n Indians take over management roles. Toxic, unrealistic, incompetent, misogynistic, discriminatory, and abusive of power.
Unfortunately, the only consistent with Optum is a continual toxic environment. I doubt it will ever change, managers are autocratic which is rewarded by leadership. I once had a manager disclose that they liked the CAP and discipline part of their job more than the successes their team may bring. As other have said, get away from Optum ASAP.
