Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Next level incompetence

How do you implement a system in select stores to see how it works, learn that it has many, many issues and it hasn't been received well by any of the employees, and then decide that it's a great idea to implement it company-wide? What did they think, that all the issues would miraculously correct themselves on a larger scale?

We have a market leader and district leader and they combine their names into one name (kinda like when two people are dating and you combine their names). They sign all of their emails with the combined name and recently have been sending out so many emails and hosting so many Teams calls that all we have time to do is read about the problems of the program and then get on calls and have to talk about what we are doing to solve them. Smart stores just give the lip service and say everything is going well while we still run things the way we used to. What a waste of time using the new functional schedule, it doesn't make a difference when you can't staff your store and have so many call outs because the schedules are crazy and nobody is getting shifts they want. Good luck Macy's, this is a real ISM cluster and it looks like a train wreck is headed for the holiday season.

The Incompetence level of 621 management has been at peak level for over five years. The store is like the Wild West some people work and others do not. The ISM has made a bad situation worse.

My store is on the second week of this ism. The condition of the store has gotten worse in a week. So far my tasks that I was assigned was recovery, fitting room rods and new merchandise. It’s in possible doing new receipts cuz the fixtures have more fitting room on them than actual merchandise. It’s going to get worse. I am dreading 4th quarter

The ISM program still isn’t solving some of our regular issues. Today, a Saturday, we still had callouts along with not enough workers so managers were still moving people around. The fitting rooms still weren’t cleaned out, rails were still full and all around the store, and customers were still searching and complaining about not being able to find someone to ring them out.

Most stores lie to make themselves sound like they are following through on the process. Menlo Park was a test store and did all the preliminary stuff to get started and never followed it up.
Store Manager went with what was best for her . She never made support do their part and it just snowballed. No that your in it full bore , you can’t hide anymore. Now she has done nothing but destroy the store and morale .
Don’t be surprised if some of these stores try for unions, because of a store manager who doesn’t follow things from the beginning.
