Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Annual FY-End Blood-Letting?

Will ADP cut loose a bunch of employees over the next seven days, as is their wont?

How this company even surviving with all the layoffs, lost talent and revolving door of people coming thru is beyond me. I used to work there and everyone on the outside in the business world (not in payroll and HCM) I knew would tell me "I hear so many negative things about ADP."

The pension conversation is utter nonsense!

I was there for 20+ years and my "total pension" benefit doesn't even amount to in 6 figures!..

They fire people because they think you make too much $ and your skills are antiquated. Mind you they do everything they can in the interim to "push" you out the door; in order to avoid paying severance......

Actually, ADP is chronically understaffed. When I used to work there, people complained that they had to work overtime hours to just keep up. Management's response was to ask a rhetorical question: What happens when everyone is working only 40 hours a week?

The answer that they would give is: LAYOFFS!

For the last several years, ADP has been laying off people because they earn too much money, are going to be receiving a pension when they retire, or that they are too old, and replacing them with cheaper workers. ADP is just cheap and doesn't want to invest in quality workers.

Large organizations are typically over staffed due to the ineptitude of management, so any culling to streamline headcount and better align with financial objectives would be welcome.
