If Saudi Aramco is such a cr---y place to work as so many expats working here are trying to paint it as being, what are you still doing here? Why don't you pack your bags and head back home where I'm sure O&G companies will welcome you with open arms and offer you better pay and benefits (I need a minute to stop laughing). You shouldn't stay and make yourselves miserable. Leave. You will not be missed.

The guy who posted this is exactly the kind of person you will have to work with or report to....and there are many others just like him.
Any quality of life in the camp died about 10 or so years ago, when new Saudi management took over Community Services and then started the housing inspections.
The camp is dead these-days, it's a ghost of it past. Slowly being filled with Saudis and those lower grade expats prepared to work for a lot less.
You get what you pay for - Good luck Aramco!
And that folks is why so many westerners leave, or lose interest in their Aramco jobs. High pay is not a substitution for a cr-p job and Cr-p Saudi managers with no leadership skills. Let the locals at Aramco wallow in their own Cr-p
The place is full of mad hatters and nut jobs!

Good advice. I did just that, along with a bunch of other expats. What am I doing on this board then? I'm here to give my opinion that Aramco has changed for the worse. At least in the USA, the company used to have a reputation as a place paid well and wasn't too stressful. A good option for those near the end of their career. When I left, that was no longer the case for me. The place had turned into a snake pit. To be sure, there are bad jobs like that in the West too, but there is no need to travel half way around the world for them. The only way Aramco would make sense now is if it paid 2-3 times what I could get in my country, and that is certainly not the case. So ... goodbye.
Qatar is paying much better now and they have World Cup this year. Don't be so bitter and enjoy while last, it is what all we do.
With future coworkers like these, how could you resist the place.
