Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Favoritism plays a huge part of someone’s success

Some may disagree, but I am of the opinion that it is difficult for anyone who is not a favorite of their superior to make any progress here. What is interesting is that among the favorites are never those who are the best employees, who are dedicated to their work, who have great skills, etc. Is it even possible to explain why this is so?

FAVS dominate for sure. My VP of Services with 20+ years of services delivery management experience with top-tier EHR companies was laid off by MC and replaced with a VP of Sales that had zero experience in managing services.

Unlike other companies who use favoritism as a method to choose between to highly experienced and qualified employees to fill positions. Allscripts selects , people with NO backgrounds in the people and departments they will lead... They use favoritism as a method to move(protect) incompetent "managers" from being fired. Service group is littered with this type of "talent".
Just speaking the truth.

That is so true. Favorites are the way of life in our department, even though the rest of us have to help the designated favorites because of their lack of ability, skills and knowledge.
