It's pretty quiet here... I’m still not going to leave Cummins, I’m happy with the pay and the benefits and hopefully there won’t be any layoffs soon, but I think there’s plenty of room for improvements!
A friend's daughter got a job, albeit in a different branch, and I know that she is quite dissatisfied with the training.

Management made up from shop floor, without the relevant qualifications for the position they step into.
Well they have pretty much screwed themselves on attracting experienced capable engineers at this point. After years of mass layoffs every 3-4 years where engineers can never come back, hiring of cheaper substandard engineers in their place and underpaying massively for the market (I was "laid off" in 2015 and now make solidly 52 percent more a year than I did when I was there as an electrical engineer and still in commuting distance from Columbus), no decent US engineer with automotive experience will even consider Cummins except as a last resort. Diploma mill H1Bs are now becoming dominant in many areas and will cause innovation and quality to plummet. I would say escape on your terms while you can.
When huge companies weed out lazy workers and sundown town racists a lot will change. You have people that are privileged thinking everything is theirs based on color. If it’s not that people use other relatives working there back in 1950 and so on. Some people don’t like change and bring personal issues into work. This is why most people complaining about Cummins Inc hiring different types of people because they’re not willing to move out of state. If they do move out of state they will more than likely find another sundown town to keep the racism going. In 2022 if you are over 18 and still caring racism you were taught I have news for you no one is going to feel sorry. You left your parents home and went out into the world. You have had plenty of chances to get cultured no one wants to hear anymore of the d-mb excuses to be in your 30’s, 40’s and so on passing it on. Just my thoughts!
Well if they got rid of the lazy brown coworkers and appreciated the hard working ones it’ll be work working at

Not working people to the point of a nervous breakdown, and then fire 10% every 3 years.
In Cummins people get promoted for everything else but performance! That is going to be the downfall of the company. Women who consider themselves feminist should be ashamed to work in a culture where women are promoted just for being a woman. I personally know managers who were told to promote women irrespective of competence or performance.
Get rid of their current management climate. For a fortune 500 company we don't act like one and don't keep up with technology. Because so many of the managers are defending their nest aka their territory and what they know and don't want new things to come in.
Get rid of AWS.
by hiring fewer people that require work sponsorship
