As people flee from Wells Fargo it seems like SVB is quick to scoop them up. The culture at SVB was really good but feels like it's becoming tainted by hiring so many WF people!

Not surprised.
nope
Former WF, didn’t go to SVB but did interview. SVB aggressively targeted WF risk people because they had similar tech issues. Ironic for a bank that caters to tech sector but that’s what I was told in the series of interviews I went through.
Getting back into WF will be tough. They are actively laying off - VERY large wave coming this month and not backfilling people who leave.
@4gmdc+1hkcClQY go look at the Wells board.
I think my local credit union is hiring though.
Ugh, Wells, can you please give me my old job back? I'll be sending you my resume this weekend.
SVP pays some hefty salaries and incentive. That can't last forever and now the writing is on the wall.
The writing was indeed on the wall. Not more than 90 minutes after you posted, SVB was seized by regulators.

The former JPM Sr. Managing Directors are no better. CCO is dysfunctional.
If you have a wallsfargo manager, be expected to play a lot of politics. I am guessing it’s the culture there… a lot of backstabbing and double face from we employees
I have been at SVB for 8 years, and I have worked with Walls Fargo coworkers. Some of them are good but most of them brings a culture of top down management and it can be very toxic. I think it’s really the Walls Fargo’s toxic culture that changes the people that works there… and hiring massive amount of WF definitely affected the culture of SVB
