I hope that it's just me, that I am just overly anxious and that there will be no cuts soon.

I bet everyone’s raise this year will keep them ahead of inflation! 😂
It was exactly one year ago when I got a 2.7% raise and thought to myself… I’ll bet I’ll get no raise next year.
It was then that I decided to start talking back to the recruiters who are calling.
It took me about four weeks to get an offer, and about a month later I started my new job.
It’s already started at PSS, with at least 20 cut from the Projects group in the last week. You can bet there are more to come.
The BU's are getting hammered on EBITDA and sales due to the inability to make product. Supply chain has no idea what they're doing and costs are going up all over. Huge backlogs. Yeah, there will be cuts like there is every year.
Add to this that many BUs will not make their sales numbers this fiscal year because of component shortages, so the writing is on the wall.
I don’t think it runs on that cycle anymore. Funding the full Aspentech acquisition and shift to software means consistent profit performance is needed from the other BUs. Reducing rooftops, digitalisation and portfolio rationalization by any means is the game plan. Expect more layoffs. Exiting Russia will reduce costs/heads a lot but for some BUs that was a profitable market.
Every 3-5 years? It’s about every 2.5 now.
😂😂 when you’ve been through a few of the cycles you get use to it. About every 3-5 years it’s like clockwork.
