Thread regarding Cummins Inc. layoffs

Outsourcing

The biggest circle jerk is when they outsource US products to INTL countries...I think you know which ones I am speaking about here. The cost analysis to justify this is never correct and they leave out, for example, some component shipping costs, tariff costs, other hidden inspection costs and keep charging them back to US locations where the originate when they should be adding this into the cost of the product. They cover up allot of the rework that has to be done as well...some sent back to US to fix because knowledge base is so poor in those countries. I experienced this happening many times in my 22 years. It was a joke. A lot of people lose their jobs in the US so Cummins can shift production and brag on their INTL operations while all the lies are being told behind the scenes. Their politics are rotten to the end and have bitten them in the a-s. Final results, are high failure rates, lost sales and layoffs.

spot on, spot on. And it will continue to hurt them until it's to late and they end up having to sell parts of Cummins. They don't realize the people who is okaying this and that has a vested interest in making sure business is in their country for one and two could give two craps about the US.
