In the meantime, I have given up hopes that it is possible to make at least a small career growth with hard work and commitment only. I think career growth at CVS is a myth. Is there anyone here who thinks he or she got promoted based on effort alone?

I understand that their should be equity in leadership types, but seems all the men are being pushed out and an all girls club is forming. Look at the hiring of all the new executive vps and also the new titles created are all woman.”

Not hard work alone. You need to develop communication skills. Also, understand what is priority to your superiors vs when your ideas of priority don’t align with theirs. But at least 50% is about being in the right clique. Yeah…like high school.
They always promote based on hard work and results around here
This only happens at CVS folks . Other companies do reward hard work and great results . Continue to hope for change . Not going to tell you to move on , you are brain washed and will not listen to great advice ! So sorry for you!
Nope. It’s based on who falls in line and is completely compliant and submissive to their leader. I have seen but kissers have the worst performing stores or districts and they get rewarded because they don’t rock the boat, have no free thought and gleefully drink the kool aid. Success is measured by your ability to be at your leaders beckoning call 24/7. Not by results.
