Here in the Midwest, in-store customer flow has decreased dramatically. Even compared to pre-pandemic levels. Cutting F/T hours has already started to circulate. What is it like at your store?

The government is no longer showering the system with free money like the stimulus during the pandemic. Add in the war between our current government and the fossil fuel industry and you get economic misery and hyper inflation. People naturally react to this kind of environment by drastically changing their spending habits and cutting back.
Layoffs are next, folks.
Past 2 years everyone was spending money on home projects, between home project burnout and inflation it is to be expected that sales will be down.
Our store missed target by 15% last time I worked.
Was in shopping and overheard a DS conversing with one their Specialists about it.
Nobody can afford spending money on anything except the essentials. Something gotta give.
