Issues finding a new job

Everyone told me that with my resume and experience I would find a new job very quickly, but it turned out that was not the case and the whole experience depressed me a bit.
Does anyone have difficulty getting a new job / how long did it take you to get a good offer?

you must be a middle aged white male. That appears to be the 'recently unemployed' criteria now unfortunately.

Every company lays people off, loyal or not. It’s business

Right now, is a hard time to get out of retail. A lot of companies are laying off due to inflation.

To the person that spoke before me about getting first dibs on a different position within CVS, would you really like to stay with a companion that has a history of laying people off? I understand people needing money but some people just love punishment.

There's no way, absolutely no way that I am seeking employment t another position within CVS. I'd rather try my luck elsewhere. I need job safety and less stress.

CVS has a bad reputation and alot of companies don't like to hire people who spent a long time at CVS. I only recently learned that

So my supervisor confirmed to me that all the laid off employees from Coram have 1st dibs on all job openings in cvs. So at least I get a first shot now.
