It's funny how many people are shocked that Broadcom will slash all the costs and lay off thousands of people once it takes over. Give me one good reason why that shouldn't happen. They're not buying VMware out of the goodness of their hearts. They saw an opportunity to make money and they grabbed it. Now they're going to do whatever they can to maximize their profit. There's nothing inherently evil or wrong about it. Yes, a lot of employees will lose their jobs but that's the way things have always worked. There's no evil side here, just corporations doing what corporations do.

Yes corporate execs at VMware bungled up the numbers and left the company vulnerable and a vulture Broadcom comes in and strips the meat off of the carcass while the VMware execs take their bounty and the workers have to scramble to find a new home.
Thanks for the greed is good speech Mr. Gecko.
