Let us not forget their accelerated vesting of RSUs that more than doubles those amounts. Nice paycheck for a year’s work. Go team!
You are right, Zane is the only exec who has earned his keep. The other execs all presided over a bad last 12 months, where the VMW stock price kept sliding downward every month. Then to top it all, the most recent Q1 was disastrous, with growth only at 3%. No surprise that Michael Dell decided to give up on the current management team and sell to Hock Tan, betting Hock can clean up the company better than these execs can.
Zane might be the only name in that list who is even close to having earned his payday. JP is an uninspiring sales leader if there ever was one, and would merit walking away with about 1/4 of his number on a good day. The other two (Raghu and Sumit) never should have been in their positions from the start.
These amounts show, once and for all, that these people have no interest in the company. Their interest has always been in increasing their own wealth. Their managerial malfeasance should be on trial to take back their stolen wealth.
at least the stock was up and we can unload it and hope some will retire. young dudes is messed up either way..
