Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

UP manager's are tired

Hoping to get cut so they can go back to their craft. I don't blame them. Hopefully they keep seniority.

@ba-f+1hYQzISQ First off I had to laugh a bit at your posting ID. It's fitting considering your post. I'm not sure if you're trying to be funny or what but whatever. The posting was just a bit too flamboyant for me. The issue of everything going on was stated very clearly in your post. It's because of proud management like yourself is why everything is so bad there. Can you not think for yourself, or do you need upper management to think for you? Do you not have a voice or do you need upper management to say things for you? It's no longer a mystery of why management just can't be trusted. They've already done a management shake-up before, and they will do it again. So you keep being proud, and the rest of us will wave to you when your position is no longer necessary.

I'm proud of being a manager. My word to my superintendent that always thrills him is when I say "absolutely" to every word he says to me. I'm that guy

What are managers tired of!? They don’t do sh-t but run their mouths and instigate sh-t between agreement employees…if Managers are tired it’s got to be their knees from being under the bosses desk

We all gonna die someday and can’t take anything with us . No 401 k, no performance bonus , no RRB retirement pension, house , boat ,king ranch ford pickup etc., all our achievements at work won’t matter then….

I have a pretty good manager. But where I work Ive seen 2 good track managers just give up, let the track get worse, and keep putting in for lateral transfers somewhere else until they catch one so they can escape. The derailments are skyrocketing in number and so are the track related / caused train delays. The ‘quick’ temp fixes they’ve gotten used to doing are lasting days now instead of months.
