Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Wages falling behind

Speea had a 3% wage pool paid in March of this year. Now 2% for the next 4 years. Are we going to get compensation due to inflation?

You don't get to sign a contract and then complain. As you like to tell us non-represented folks "You have a contract"

Well now you get to live with it. You voted for it. If you didn't like it, you should have voted it down and struck.

This is part of being in a union.

2-3% pools have been the norm at SPEEA since lump sums were introduced. It’s been at least 6 years since that.

You need to pay close attention to what they're doing over in the non-represented side of the company as that's where they try out what they're going to do on the union side. The 2 - 3% merit pools have been the norm in the non-represented side for over 10 years !!! Welcome to your future man !!!

Boeing would rather pay you half as much while you do twice as much work.

Boeing doesn’t care if people leave over pay. They want the cheapest people. They don’t care about quality. Most layoffs were skewed to go after the highest wage earners. Bad company.
