Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Bad results and layoff confirmed for Aug’22

Apparently, attrition targets weren’t met, nor were the sales target. Russia-Ukraine conflict is our excuse, again. Cloud ARR growth of 80% is not viable anymore (even on our abysmal low revenue baseline)…
There we go again.

So this post didn’t exactly age well. Wonder if it will be the November RIF again this year…

Looks like it is safe (for now). We had more attrition than anticipated.

I guess RIF is a rumor…. Everything looks good.

Teradata revenue has been falling since 2013 and layoffs have become the routine response since 2015. Given 9 years of declining revenues, seven years of compensatory layoffs, and a feckless leadership team, a once great company has self-destructed.

Will it match the 2020 VR?

OP told you so.
As in the past, RIF is about evenly spread to all orgs.

The rumor is real. VPs have made their list of LVPs and MVPs…
If you want to leave, don’t factor AIP bonus and grants and decide to wait, AIP will be under par, stocks under water, and you are probably ageing out of the job market come 3/1/2023…..

Oracle started a mega layoff (reported here on this website and news channels as well). It is indeed coming to TDC as well.

Business as usual for TDC. It would be shocking if they went a year with out a RIF

I am gone and happily so, but watching this slow motion train wreck from afar is quite interesting. Its remarkable how none of the ELT ever gets the boot. Strategy? What strategy? Product? Nope, nothing forthcoming. Yet the people in charge of both use fear and intimidation and deflection to just keep riding the gravy train. I can think of nothing that could help morale more (in the absence of new customers, which obviously isn't happening) than a true house cleaning at the ELT level.

If there is one thing Teradata is good at, it is laying off employees. Set up a meeting the night before, secretly invite your HR rep, read a 5 minute script, the say good bye. This is the 5th year of layoffs. They treat people like numbers, while they talk about how great it is to bring your whole self to work. This is a sad JOKE for a company. Don't wait to get laid off, just leave. All this while they manipulate the AIP bonus components to pay fat bonuses and RSUs to the pathetic ELT. Someone should file a complaint since the independent compensation committee for the Board is not doing their corporate governance job. Probably since they get a bunch of money and RSUs to attend two meetings a year. Get hundreds of thousands of dollars for two meetings.

I can’t understand why any of you stay with this dinosaur. Getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Yet they will spin it somehow, some way. Antares this, antares that. Snow's stock. You name it, they'll use it. So much for bonus pool.
