My guess is that the company will offer a cr-p contract and then threaten to build the 737 replacement (which they will do anyway) in another state if it's not accepted.
The gap between airbus and Boeing on orders is only going to grow.
Also Boeing reputation for safety which was its biggest selling point no longer helps the company sell airplanes.
They needed a 737 replacement 15 years ago after the 787 first delivered.
They are royally screwed now. Airbus is even talking about an 322 now.

Haven't hit a cert or production plan on any commercial platform for ??? quarters. Nice 737 count this quarter, but wasn't the build target missed due to a production shutdown? I guess this means the deliveries were boosted by stored airplanes, which are (not) on track to the delivery totals projected 12 or 9 month ago...
