I'm sorry if this sounds callous or insensitive, but at this point, I don't care if they lay me off. Actually, it'd be a great thing for me as long as there is severance included. I used to like my job, but since the acquisition, my workload has more than doubled and my pay has remained the same. Why would I be upset at the idea of losing that?

One year per week is absurd. One month plus one week per year would be more appropriate.
Is it really just one week? I thought it was two. That's ridiculously low if true.
Severance pay I heard was 1 week for every year worked. Are you sure about that?
