Anyone here work in Tanzu and have thoughts about where we are going next? Will we get the axe, sold off,etc....

HCL bought Tanzu. Bcom won't keep Tanzu and won't pay severance to the Tanzu folks, just sold to HCL. They are following the Symantec playbook.
what does HCL thing mean? is Tanzu done for? everyone can chill for 6 months before we get the slip?

Leaders have commented on the meetings Broadcom. The go-shop period is when Tanzu, CB, and a few others were being shopped by Broadcom
I have heard a few people talk about retention bonuses and the fall timeframe but I dont know if its something mgmt has cooked up or not. I find it hard to believe anyone wants to pay to keep this BU in tact. The Mgmt is as bad as I have ever seen
For people who are in this BU and have heard about retention bonus, when did you hear that? What does it mean for the rest of us who haven’t heard about it?
Did anyone in the BU get raises? Also saw someone said something about retention offers? Would love to know more about what is going on behind the scenes
Im thinking sales and marketing will be let go soon. What use are a sales and marketing team for a product with barley any growth?
Tanzu Labs should be the first to go. Broadcom doesn't need a services unit that is teaching people pair-programming! Rest of Tanzu is also bloated and overstaffed, probably the biggest engineering team at VMW. You don't need anything that big, just put k8s into Vsphere, and be done with it. Cut the fat. Then raise Vsphere prices. I am sure Broadcom can do that better than VMW execs can. They did not cleanup Tanzu.
Meeting have happened. Now the next round of “show me what you got or else..” is happening. Else can be go-shop the BU or sub-BU groups or “you are fired… here are your parting gifts, if any.
When did Tanzu leaders say anything about retention bonus?

Leadership meeting is first week of August to have the BUs to claim their worth.
