Should we be expecting more cuts?

I’m curious as to what they will talk about during the “understanding compensation choices at CDK” zoom. As far as I’m concerned, the only reason you have to explain a compensation change is if you know people aren’t going to like it. Hopefully they don’t mess with the bonuses.
Manager or not I’m certain it’s obvious no one is safe, save your hate for someone who deserves it.
I figured there would be a manager snooping on here. Get out of the chat. You are probably one of the people deciding who stays or goes.
@1fbd+1hVEylYe - that is not how it works. Source, I am a manager.
We each have a mental list of who to sacrifice if necessary but there is no list that is maintained or given up to the directors. The first basis is the stack ranking CDK has always required of us. Blended with that is the pay+skill+initiative. This is important because someone who has a lot of skills and tribal knowledge plus does more than their share is still protected from layoffs but too much imbalance of any two factors will cause them to be exposed to the axe. That is the fuzzy algorithm I use anyway and most of my peers work the same way.
I have not been asked to give up a list yet, but I bet my director asks for one before EOD tomorrow if my VP has to make cuts too. I don't know how many they would ask for, but I will fight to keep as many as I can. I can give up two if I have to but I will quit if asked for more than that because I won't be able to provide deliverables on time with 3 or more gone from the team.
My opinion is that Brian MacDonald can eat a bag of wet s--t. If I wasn't real close to retirement I would walk off right now.

Least so far they have let go large parts of implementation and alot of client account managers and some support personal so not just managers
I’m a current employee at CDK as a customer rep. Are they only laying off managers ?
When a CDK manager tells you they have no control or say on who's getting Layed off, that's not entirely correct. Sure, the dimwits in HR make the final decision when a new round of layoffs is called for. But managers have a very good idea of who will be cut - they are required to maintain a "forced ranking list " of everybody on their team. If there are 10 people on a team, the people who are ranked 8, 9, and 10 better watch out when the next layoff happens. There are other factors involved too - like how expensive is an employee. You could have somebody at the top of the rankings, but if they're paid 20K more than the rest of the team, they will also have a big target on their back.
By requiring managers to maintain these lists, the company (if that's what you can call CDK) has a ready-to-go list of who are the prime candidates to get axed in the next layoff.
If you really want to know where you stand, ask your manager where you're ranked on your team. Some will be honest and tell you. Some will say they're not allowed to discuss the matter. Still others will deny that such a ranking system even exists.
Good luck and Godspeed to all CDK associates.
In previous layoffs it has pretty much just been what's described. Your direct supervisor knows nothing, then they're pulled into a meeting, told to cut a certain number of positions, and then they're walking people out.
What are BSCs ?
I was told all week by my manager that he has no control or say on who's getting Layed off and that for now we were all ok. Today around 2:30pm I received a call from him saying there was a closed door meeting and he was just informed, that I had to be released immediately. With that being said I was layed-off after 20 plus years of service with nothing but an Im Sorry and HR will be speaking to you soon.
Can those who have been let go share how the deed was done so we can be on the look out? Also, was severance offered? Inquiring minds :) yes I am looking to get the he-l out of dodge asap.
⚠️ Alert ⚠️ 📢 ⚠️ Alert ⚠️ 📢 ⚠️
This just in... More BSCs and IMP managers being terminated on the East Coast. Stay tuned.
All implementation managers were let go
No use in trying to make sense of anything McPsychopath does. As with most leaders (political, business, social media) in today's world, he is incapable of moral or ethical behavior.
With how hard it is now to fill positions, even new ones they might be thinking of, I think this layoff was a d-mb decision.
Job postings in India and Canada currently for multiple
Portions with CDK. Looks like Macdonald is looking for cheaper and newer employees
I have heard from management in the support teams that there is talks of outsourcing to India again.
Looks like alot of csm/cams are being layer off there pushing sales to do there job now. So only enterprise clients get cams now which guess one was let go as well there
CIM=Client Implementation Manager / Sr. Project Manager. Basically, the engine that drives all implementations that take place for customers.

Seems they are using HR to pick the people again and not letting the managers decide who to let go. Sad! Even people working with our Enterprise clients were let go.
Thanks for posting everybody. The job board looked leaner than I expected.
Guess this explains why!
For everyone on these forums..... the info you post is helpful, not just for people at your company - but for those unemployed desperately seeking work.
The news wants to spin a narrative that people don't want to work... which is simply not true. They aren't telling the story of layoffs. Thank you everyone for sharing what you know. We, the workers, must do what we can in these trying times. Take care everyone.
Yup, More to come!
What position is CIM?
Ohh noooo. All of the CIMs on the west coast?!?!
Here in the eye of the prevailing layoff storm. Hearing some rumblings, the storm has started. So sad....
Vroom.... Vroom...... the chainsaw is starting up again.... 10 CIM positions have just been trimmed!! More to come, stayed tuned. Its a another sad day in CDK Global history!!
Oh yes.
Has the cuts started in R&D yet? I think 2 more days
My guess is yes, but I keep hoping it might be over.
