Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

They seem to ignore the turnover

As far as I'm concerned, turnover is a huge problem for this company, but it seems to me that the leadership ignores the seriousness of this problem.

I think ISM has increased turnover because people are more dissatisfied than ever. Does it seem to you too that more and more people are leaving because of ISM?

Are people actually rushing in to shop the 1 Day (3-4 Day) sales??? Everything I've read is that retail is down right now.

It was actually a 4 day ODS! History was made.

The unnecessary extended hours that we had this past weekend because of the One Day (3 day) sale is a reason that people quit. Friday and Saturday we were open until 10 pm and Sunday we were open until 8 pm. Extended hours get worse in November and December.

IMO new hires think this job is just standing at the register and ringing people up.

Yes ISM was and is a a big reason there is a big turnover in help but they say it is working but they will never admit that it is not and is a big downfall for the company

You’re right. When someone quits, gets fired, etc. it doesn’t seem to be a big deal. They call part time or flex associates to see if they can work until they hire someone else or eliminate the position. ISM should be on the list of the reasons for high turnover.
