I knew that shortly after the announcement most people would start looking for new jobs but it surprises me that so many people have already left. I am speaking generally, judging by the atmosphere of my immediate surroundings. I don't know what the management's plan is but the amount of work I do has nearly doubled in a very short time. I assume this is the case with you too?

I find it easier to do 3x the work with 3x decrease in quality!
Yes, you too can have the glorious role of working 60+h weeks to cover for the smarter people who did already left and to make sure that Racku and Kitty and Petsy and MarkL and the other execs earn their millions.
And those already gone (like I) will continue to shake there heads at why people would be willing to work their as--s off in order to make the execs even richer
Yup, I'm covering 3 x FTE roles now with no chance of replacements as the req's have been put on hold. Quality of work has gone through the floor due to covering too many responsibilities and client escalations have gone through the roof. Spoke to my VP, he shrugged his shoulders and said try to be more efficient.
Becoming less motivated to do anything by the day.
Yup. Increase work, less hands to do the work.
I took over a bunch of stuff for a teammate that left 3 months ago... his backfil req was frozen after the announcement.
Guess who still has to attend "his" meetings and finish his work?
