Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Profit is our main issue

Revenue is not what the investment community is looking for - They want to see Profit,
which SAP did not fare well and fell below YOY performance on Profit

Operating Profit has been a perpetual problem for the company to properly address and still it has not been figured out.

This below expectations on Profitability is why the stock is down today. Confusing Revenue vs. Profit will surely take us down a terrible road we don't want to travel.

@qst+1hP6vDrq hit the nail on the head. People who get excited about revenue are missing the big picture. We are in trouble if we can't improve profit. It's as simple as that.

You can usually tell how good your executive team is by how much they advertise their own good work by way of Profitable performance.

When there is no mention of how much were the Profits, then obviously don't have the right management.

Wouldn’t want to talk about profits since past few years profits are all driven by financial engineering… from selling off own data centers to profits from startup investments instead of core business to IPO of existing solution in hot market

That's correct, they don't speak at all about profits. Only want to talk about Revenue.
But the question is, are they fooling anybody with this approach?

Funny thing is the leadership team does not even dare to talk about profit
