Rumor has it in NYC, area leaders will be overseeing 18 stores. If this is true do the math in your districts. Also heard end of year will see a second wave of layoffs. This info came from a recruiter.

Are you sure about that? Actually surprised you posted this in a forum full of the “unfortunate folks” who were just laid off by that company.

I realize that’s little consolation for the unfortunate folks who got laid off.”

I don’t know if legal is safe. They did let go of some attorneys in legal on Wednesday.

I work at 7-Eleven and have been assured by management that the layoffs are done except perhaps some things that might happen at the executive levels.

The good news for those who remain is that this puts the company in a stronger position heading into a recession.

I realize that’s little consolation for the unfortunate folks who got laid off.

Nope! Not unless you're in senior leadership, legal or HR. And those who know value their jobs enough not to say. That's not being ruthless, that's just smart business. Best advice is that if you're not comfortable in your situation at a company, seek other options.
