Expect 2,200 to 2,400 heads, remember Ford has quietly terminated around 1,400 people over the last eight months. That will get Farley close to his goal of 4,000. Then they will wait to see how many GRP employees retire before year end to take the lump sum buyout. Then next year Ford leaders will terminate the remaining NA high-cost heads to get to 8,000. If you are a LL6 or GSR in the US no matter what "Team" you are on, the 12 floor at WHQ will eventually out source your job to a low cost country.

Rumor: cuts week of July 25 followed by voluntary offers first week of August. All accepted voluntaries leave Oct 31. Anyone lingering after all that will be dealt with by delta force operators.
It will be 8 people per day for 100 days as an attrition creating strategy to make it more torturous on those remaining hoping more people will leave, etc. Death by 8000 cuts . . . like water torture, drip, drip, drip . . .
Wrong. The 8,000 cuts have already started since early this year. They were just hush hush about it.
It’s not happening next week.
There are laws to prevent them for being too reckless with the pension fund. You have to look out for yourself. I learned that lesson a long time ago. Don’t buy a vehicle to “help out the company” and pay yourself first. Don’t invest in Ford stock because it is a trade.
My thought is it will be like rapidly pulling off a big band aid. One fast rip next week, get it over with and minimize on-going bad media attention, which would happen if they drag this out over weeks or months.
Farley and the likes could care less if the pension fund was depleted tomorrow. Their golden parachute is in their contract. This re-org will happen week of the 25th. Nobody gets fired or let go without some hush money. Sign here, take your money and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. The WFH crowd will have to improvise.
It’s going to be 8,000 between next week and October
