The CEO’s and shareholders are laughing all the way to the bank. They don’t care about the STB meetings. Anyone that has worked for the railroads for awhile knows there has been several times when there were horrible service issues and STB hearings then also. The truth is nothing will change and the people running these companies will stay in place as long as the companies are making the huge profits they are showing now.

The STB is a toothless tiger, They just make a lot of noise but do nothing
Employees are changing the way they think we’ll see. I’ve seen lots leave and few hire on lately with many that have one foot out the door waiting on the results of our new contract. I guess people are finding other ways to make $. One of my buddies left and now is a manager at a tire shop and makes more than he did at the railroad he said to me that he wished he left earlier but felt trapped because all our co-workers and managers pretty much have this mentality that this is as good as it gets which isn’t true.
