Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

SLB and HAL

Why is it Schlum and Hal had no problems delivering and even beating estimates this quarter but Baker yet again can’t? This happens quarter and quarter, baker just can’t hit the numbers even as our peers do.

Leadership is horrible, morale is low, and the investment in new technology is to eliminate people in the workforce.

first thing to do is to put people in management who know what they're doing. otherwise you end up in a mess you can't get out of. hang on, does this not ring a bell?

Can't beat estimates if you don't know how to count the beans.

I is a proud gradumate of Scrotonvilla and all I learned was to make really purdy PowerPoints with loads of horseshite to impress me bosses.

They know what they’re doing. Don’t forget they can run any business, better than anyone else, that is the GE raison d’etre. We are the best managers of any business, from a corner shop to NASA. They will drive out the cost of any process to the last nickel. And now that they have done that, ruthlessly for 5 years, things will turn a corner.

Don’t worry

It’s no use blaming supply chain issues in q2 for underperforming if are following the crotonville leadership institute doctrine of not paying your suppliers on time, or at all! I am suprised nobody on the earnings call challenged the company about this. Suppliers hate having to rely on supply chain finance to cover their positions when invoices are not paid. They therefore tier their customer base accordingly leading to supply chain issues for any firm with a history of late and unreliable payments for G&S.

GE business tactics and ethics are pushing on string in O&G!

Because they have an experienced Supply Chain organization that does not spend their time Gaslighting and telling the magNament what they want to hear, instead of reality.

Technology company in dream. In reality Bkr is the dead last in oil field technology among the big three. High end jobs have been split by Hal and Slb. Bkr cannot compete with the low cost small companies either. The future for bkr is dark, no light in the tunnel. Sorry.

Focus at HAL and SLB is different. They are OSC’s. BKR is an Energy Technology Company and that is obviously a more profitable and rewarding market to serve than the Oilfield Service sector. It’s the next Apple, only in energy, but with technology, and soon everyone worldwide will recognize our green morbius arrow paperclippy logo and queues will form around the block at midnight to purchase our latest offerings, and my paternity suit against SJ will be recognized as well as my genius.

That’s my insight anyway. Good luck in q3.

Same reason NOV can’t. Poor management and disgruntled employees
