I got promoted and I’m waiting for the cut.
The first tranche of RSUs was early last year as well except 25% instead of 33%. So everything above is just speculation.
Or promotion could be a way your manager is trying to make sure you make the cut?
Is the cliff March 2023 for everyone who got RSUs this cycle?

I wouldn't doubt that Broadcom and VMware finance departments have already estimated how much of that they will get back when the deal closes sometime between November and February.
That date wasnt selected blindly. There is a reason they cliff vest M/2023 no doubt about it.
I don’t mind. This means a bigger payout.
I also felt like Rsus for March was an ominous sign. Guess we will see
Being given a heap of RSU's with a cliff of 33% in March 2023 is a good indication that I am on the list for March cuts :) Looks like they are using that as a small sweetener to keep some people until March and reduce mass exits before then
