With the ridiculous earnings the company has achieved his quater, shares down 40% ,
when others are hitting record highs , already fire and rehire started in Aberdeen, pay cuts and lay offs happening for 6 years now honestly why is any one still working for this company it now has the worst name in the industry by far .
I know no other service company would take you but have some self respect and just leave.
The troubles at Baker run deep; not just in Aberdeen. The mere sniff of a downturn and the HR leaders get the tombola out and start pulling names out. No planning is done, it's simply a case of getting the headcount reduced. This leads to well-performing teams being decimated and the workers left behind with very low morale.
Aberdeen did have competent managers that were knowledgeable and had good customer relationships but those days are resigned to history.
The halcyon days will never return, the future is up for debate.
Things will never be the same again.
What offshore jobs / service is from Stoneywood office?
From what I understand a large proportion of the Aberdeen posts were from the Manufacturing Plant in the Bridge of Don. That has been mothballed now and that would explain the reduction of posts from there.
I work in the Stoneywood Office and the office Moral is extremely low, I feel that I’m getting battered daily trying to pull equipment together to load out jobs and with offshore personnel leaving month on month from earlier this year jobs are having to be turned down.

@eld, be respectful to your colleagues, there is no need for insults and shouting. If you don’t like the Aberdeen posts, just skip them or give them a downvote. We all know this whole company is a mess, and one of the places they’ve been screwing up for years happens to be in Scotland. And the folks from Aberdeen have been writing about it here for years. And even if we can’t always figure out their English and their Scots and their sense of humor, who are we to say they can’t post here. Besides, I’ve been following this site from 2017 and can say for certain they were here first.
I'm guessing that it's the same person harping on about Abetdeen over and over again on countless threads. Just to be clear, BH is a huge International company, and as such, its downturn isn't all about Aberdeen, but rather more an all round international sc--w up.
A lot of ex-baker aberdeen must be very bitter after losing all their work due to incompetent management. This location was a big hub for bkr but went downhill rapidly once key employees left. you caused your own downfall and too duxx to see that.
Aberdeen is a embarrassment to this company, you had it easy and still lost all your work, everyone good has since left and your left with the absolute worst of Aberdoom workers who no one else wants. Lowest service company pay now by miles , no staff and you still have the delight of living the the worst city in the UK , oh how are the house prices doing again..... still only city in the whole of the UK that's negative each month....

Baker aberdeen lost all its drilling work because of bad management. That's obvious. THey shot themselves in the foot and lost their jobs because of it. shame
